Arrival by Subway: The arena is served by several major subway lines, providing direct access from across the five boroughs.

Seventh Avenue Lines: Take the 1, 2, or 3 trains to 34th Street–Penn Station.

Eighth Avenue Lines: Take the A, C, or E trains to 34th Street–Penn Station.

Sixth Avenue / Broadway Lines: Take the B, D, F, M, N, Q, or R trains to 34th Street–Herald Square. Upon exiting, walk one block west to 7th Avenue.

Arrival by Rail: Madison Square Garden’s location above Penn Station makes it the most accessible venue for commuters from Long Island, New Jersey, and the broader Northeast.

LIRR and NJ Transit: All lines terminate at or pass through Penn Station directly beneath the arena. Follow interior signage to the MSG concourse and street-level exits.

Amtrak: Amtrak riders arriving at the Moynihan Train Hall can exit onto 8th Avenue and cross the street to reach the arena’s western entrances.

PATH: From New Jersey, take the PATH to the 33rd Street station (6th Avenue). The arena is a short walk two blocks west.

Metro-North: From Grand Central Terminal, take the S (Shuttle) or the 7 train to Times Square–42nd Street, then transfer to a downtown 1, 2, or 3 train to 34th Street–Penn Station.

Arrival by Bus: Multiple MTA bus routes stop within one block of the venue:

North/South Routes: M7, M10, M11, and M20.

East/West Routes: M34 and M34A Select Bus Service (SBS).

Queens Routes: The Q32 provides service to 7th Avenue and 34th Street.

Arrival by Car and Rideshare: Driving to Midtown Manhattan is often subject to heavy traffic, and Madison Square Garden does not own or operate any on-site parking facilities.

Parking: Numerous third-party garages are located on 30th, 31st, and 33rd Streets. It is highly recommended to reserve a parking spot in advance via digital parking platforms to ensure availability during event nights.

Rideshare: Preferred drop-off and pick-up locations are generally situated along 31st and 33rd Streets. Because 7th Avenue is a major thoroughfare, drivers may find it easier to pull over on the side streets rather than the main avenue.

Arrival by Ferry: Visitors traveling from New Jersey can take the NY Waterway ferry to the Midtown/West 39th Street terminal. From there, a complimentary shuttle bus service typically runs toward the Penn Station/MSG area.
