Good to Know Before Visiting Edge NYC

Tickets are timed, so you choose a date and entry slot when you book.

Booking online ahead of time gives you the widest choice of slots, especially around sunset.

Allow 60 to 90 minutes for the whole visit, starting with the indoor installations on Level 4.

The entrance is not at street level. Head to Level 4 of The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards.

High winds or lightning can close the outdoor deck for a while, but the indoor viewing areas stay open.

About Edge NYC

Edge is an outdoor sky deck that juts 80 feet out from the 100th floor of 30 Hudson Yards, about 1,100 feet above the city. Part of the floor is glass, so you can look straight down at the streets. The walls are frameless glass panels tilted outward, which lets you lean out over Manhattan.

The visit begins on Level 4 and runs through seven installations: Prism, Pulse, Skyrise, Reflections, Kaleidoscope, Infinite City and Crystal Cave. Skyrise is the elevator itself, using light and sound during the 52-second ride up. At the top there’s an indoor deck with 360-degree views, and outside you’ll find the Skyline Seats and the Eastern Point.

Vessel at Hudson Yards

Vessel is the climbable centerpiece of the Public Square and Gardens at Hudson Yards, just outside the mall where Edge has its entrance. Thomas Heatherwick and Heatherwick Studio designed it as a honeycomb of 154 interconnecting flights of stairs, with almost 2,500 steps and 80 landings.
