Edge is on the 100th floor of 30 Hudson Yards and is the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere. Your visit starts on Level 4 with a run of indoor installations, then a 52-second elevator ride takes you up to the indoor and outdoor decks. Open daily, 9 AM to 10 PM, with last entry an hour before closing. Most visits last 60 to 90 minutes.

Good to Know Before Visiting Edge NYC

Tickets are timed, so arrive a little before your slot to allow for security.

Hudson Yards security may inspect bags. Weapons are not allowed, and that includes costume props.

Regular backpacks are fine, but large bags and luggage are not allowed inside.

Tripods, video cameras and professional photo or lighting gear are not permitted. Selfie sticks can only be used indoors.

Outside food and drink are not allowed, apart from water in a sealed, clear plastic bottle.

Glass bottles are not allowed on the sky deck.

Children under 12 must stay with an adult ticket holder for the whole visit.

Skyline Bar & Café is on the sky deck level. It serves cocktails, champagne, frozen drinks and light bites from morning until evening.

Peak with Priceless is one floor up, on the 101st floor. It is a sit-down restaurant serving elevated American food from lunch through the evening, and reservations are recommended.

For something quicker, The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards, where the Edge entrance is, has casual cafés as well as sit-down restaurants.

Edge NYC - Nearby Attractions

Vessel: the honeycomb-shaped climbing structure in the Hudson Yards Public Square, just outside the mall that houses the Edge entrance.

The High Line: a park built on an old elevated rail line. Its northern end runs past Hudson Yards at 30th Street.

The Shed: an arts center on the Hudson Yards plaza that hosts performances, exhibitions and events.

Chelsea Market: a covered food hall on 9th Avenue at 15th Street. Walking down the High Line is the nicest way there, about 25 minutes.

Little Island: a park raised above the Hudson River on concrete pilings at Pier 55, with lawns, lookouts and an outdoor amphitheater.

Whitney Museum of American Art: 20th- and 21st-century American art, at the southern end of the High Line.

Can I bring a backpack to Edge?

A regular-sized backpack or bag is fine. Large bags and luggage are not allowed, and there are no lockers on-site.

Are strollers allowed?

Yes, but you will need to fold them for the elevators and escalators.

Can I bring a tripod or selfie stick?

Tripods are not allowed. Selfie sticks are fine indoors but not on the outdoor deck.

Can I bring food or water?

Only water in a sealed, clear plastic bottle. Food and drinks are sold at Skyline Bar & Café on Level 100.

Is Edge wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Elevators, a service elevator and ramps connect every part of the visit.

Is there support for guests who are deaf or hard of hearing?

Assistive listening devices and handheld captioning systems are available from Guest Services on Level 4.

Can children visit Edge on their own?

No. Children under 12 must be with an adult ticket holder the whole time.
