About SUMMIT One Vanderbilt

SUMMIT occupies the top floors of One Vanderbilt, a 1,401-foot tower beside Grand Central and the tallest building in Midtown Manhattan.

It isn't a standard observation deck. Snøhetta designed the interiors, and Kenzo Digital created AIR, the art installation that runs through most of the visit. The result is a one-way route of mirrored rooms, light, and open sky, where the view changes as you move.

Good to Know Before Visiting SUMMIT One Vanderbilt

SUMMIT is open every day from 8:00 AM to midnight, with last entry at 10:30 PM.
Entry is timed, so book ahead and arrive close to your slot.
Pack sunglasses. The mirrored rooms get very bright on sunny days.
Pants, shorts, or tights work better than a skirt, since many floors are reflective.
Wear flat, non-marking shoes. Stilettos, work boots, and cleats aren't allowed.
The Levitation ledges are optional if heights aren't your thing.
