Top of the Rock - Essential Visitor Info

Top of the Rock is open every day from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM (midnight), and last entry is at 11:10 PM. It runs 365 days a year, holidays included. Visits go ahead in rain or shine.

Admission is timed, so you choose a date and entry time when you book. Once you are up on the decks there is no time limit. You can stay as long as you like until closing. On average, visitors spend about 45 minutes to an hour on the observation levels.

A visit is more than the decks. You go through a security checkpoint and the Welcome Gallery on the Mezzanine Level, where the theater film runs about five minutes. Then you take the elevator to the 67th, 69th and 70th floors. The Weather Room Café & Bar on the 67th floor keeps the same hours as the deck, 8:00 AM to midnight. As a suggestion, allow around 1.5 to 2 hours in total if you want to see the gallery, explore all three levels without rushing, and stop for a drink or a bite. If you are adding The Beam or SKYLIFT, give yourself a little more time.
