How to get there

1. By Subway

– B and C Trains: Take the B or C train to the 81st Street-Museum of Natural History station. This station is directly adjacent to the museum.

– 1 Train: Take the 1 train to the 79th Street station, then walk two blocks east to Central Park West

2. By Bus

– M79: Travels east/west on 79th Street and stops near the museum.

– M7, M10, M11, and M104: These buses stop at or near the museum. Check the MTA website for detailed bus routes and schedules.-

3. By Car

– Parking: Limited parking is available at the museum’s parking garage, accessible via 81st Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue. Early arrival is recommended to secure a spot.

4. From Major Transportation Hubs

– Penn Station: Take the 1, 2, or 3 subway lines uptown to 72nd Street, then transfer to the B or C train to 81st Street-Museum of Natural History.

– Grand Central Station: Take the S shuttle to Times Square, then transfer to the 1, 2, or 3 subway lines uptown to 72nd Street. Transfer to the B or C train to 81st Street-Museum of Natural History.

5. From Airports

– JFK Airport: Take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station, transfer to the E subway line to 42nd Street-Port Authority, and then transfer to the B or C subway lines uptown to 81st Street-Museum of Natural History.

– LaGuardia Airport: Take the M60 bus to 125th Street and Broadway, then transfer to the 1 subway line downtown to 79th Street.
